Interests
My research focuses on hyperautomation: the systematic identification, analysis, automation, and continuous improvement of business and IT processes through the combined use of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), Business Process Management (BPM), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and low-code/no-code platforms.
Within this broader area, my work lies at the intersection of Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) and Business Process Management (BPM). I am particularly interested in how models, process data, and intelligent automation can bridge the gap between business requirements and the design, implementation, and evolution of the information systems that support organizations.
My current research interests include:
Process Mining — data-driven techniques for analyzing event data generated by information systems to discover, monitor, predict, and improve business processes.
Agentic Business Process Management — the use of autonomous AI-based agents to support, automate, and augment BPM activities, including process analysis, redesign, execution, monitoring, and improvement.
